Pension is a change challenge

In plane Garuda (Indonesian Airline) on the way to Jakarta from Surabaya, in side I sit a interesting men of my attention. " How old are you, Sir ? " my question. " I have age 62 years," he said. In that age I see he its fresh still, skilful and healthy. In consequence I am question, " Is your Job, Sir ? " Retired Mr.," he said. Whew retired is work, my mind. I asked again, " How much your age when you are retired, Sir ? ". He answers " I have been retired since 7 year ago, at the time of having age 55".With life expectancy which excelsior, that is ; 70, 80, 90 years, at era now retirement age is 55 years. In general in age 60 annual of people still in condition of fresh and productive.

Returns to people in side I, I am question, " What done by Bapak now / is you activity the existing ?" " I have no activity / package work, out of job," its reply is brief. " Usually I visit grandchilds. One months in eldest chlid house in Jakarta, one months again in daughter house in Surabaya, then to Bandung in youngest chlid house. so my work am the existing only circles "

“Most is activity of friends after pension ? You seems to be fresh still," asked me again. He answers, " Something still teaching in university, also there is implementing business x'self and mostly jobless."

This thing became my idea that if age we enter pension. Does which we must do. Possibly something gets call for liver or call for opportunity becomes entrepreneur . By becoming an entrepreneur hence can be told " pension have never" because poison until stripper age still work always. I have never can imagine how the taste is the pension. If I can wish can work always, not because of having to does, but because love, because liking by what we to do. Even my friend having age 67 years, still can look for new businesss.

Important according to I am conformity of the job/activity with hobby of our liver. Looks for new ability of which able to be sold like teaching, gardens, or cooks. Is which be better if done after pension ?

A few last years when I still working, often I get question, which intended to ask preparation any kind of which I had done to face pension time. Gets question like that I becoming confused and sorrowful to answer it, because I had not drawn up any face pension time. I need to be known that finally I call it day retired cum right since beginning of 2006 and at this opportunity I will try writes answers to the question in this blog. Problem which I write is result from observation and experience of the pensions, also from training result which I followed to open effort for retired time and from various sources.

Why constantly require does activity?

Of course, after a period of pension, we still must be active does activity, don't know in the form of social activity, and or activity which can add economics value. This activity also enables we to meet with many people, so that there are interaction, and has material expostulated. According to explanation of psikolog, and the other expert, man who pension has must remain to be active applies its the brain, to slow down Alzheimer's disease. Is slow down Alzheimer's disease can done with reading? Simply the answer is no, because if only reads, hence that is passive activity. In my company, there is retired preparation time during one years, we have been inactive worked, but still be paid up. Expected in a period of one years is, we had had choice will which was done after comes pension time.

At the age of like that, possibly has had high position, so that we only focus to work and no time to thought of other business. Also must be ism that strarting new business, requires special attention and cannot be underestimated.

How to take choice work done after pension ?

In my answer to one of friend blog asking this thing, I suggest to do SWOT analysis. Is Strength, Weakness, Opportunity and its the Threat. This thing also which I do before I to decide, activity of what I do after pension. To take choice this, can be assisted by chlid, or husband & wife, because sometime we our own eigenvalue cannot.

Is which be better if done after pension ?

That moment, I and husband starts thought of about minimum operating expenses for household which must be released each month, cost for children is continuing school ( thanks can until S2), weakness of physical of me, and ability any kind of which able to be dug. Also this activity must be popular, that we do it is happily;gladly. Finally is agreed on, that work which I would do, be work which do not too tires in physical. Coincidently I of course long time back had become professional instructor staff in an education institute, thus after MPP (preparation time nearing pension), I sometime teachs in instituting the, if matter required as according to my interest.

My friend, one years before pension, builds resort in Kaliurang, there there are fishing pool, and sells various ornamental plants . Based on my observation, its the fishing pool many visited by people, especially at Saturday and Sunday. While other friend, opens restaurant in region Bandung, and there are also friend who is opening clothing store and need goods of woman in ITC Bandung. Friend who its the house close to university campus opens rental of room. Of course, these all having to accomodated condition of ability from husband or wife. Friend who is opening restaurant, its the wife is of course likes cooks, so that although she employs cooker, hence employer can monitor likely. But is between altogether, also there is only did social activity, and they seen happy.

So, in principle is do activity with blithe liver, either public spirited, and also the is economics value. For the things strarting business at the time of have been stripper, be better if business is from the cradle, so that its the risk do not too big if happened failure.
